[Services] How to order DSL service without the $100 advanced pa
I am wondering how I go about this?
I see no sense in only paying $19.99 for a 768k internet which is all that is offered in this area, and then have to pay $100 advanced payment after the fact I am supplying the modem and installation.
Is there any way around this? They want me to pay $100 because I have no credit.
Basically I am having to pay upwards to $140 to establish an internet service that is less than 1 MBPS and only cost $20 a month. Since I havent bought a modem yet which is cheaper to buy than what ATT sells to you.

That's pretty much how all utilities handle new customers with no prior credit history, they require a deposit.
