You should be fine, it was an honest mistake by Ebox for my installation. The S/N given was to an invoice that had been cancelled. When I called in the problem the ebox employee called me back and mentioned he had the actual modem that videotron had provisioned if I wanted to go pick it up and be online that day.
I'm not 100% sure if the installer has the serial number information with him. I had to work that day so I couldn't grill him with questions :P
