Couldn't try to install it again either. It is no longer offered on the Windows Update page. Go figure.

The .NET stuff was a bit painful as a required install.

Six in total on aging XP Pro Dell OEM machine.

Silverlight often bombs via WU, use the standalone installer or may I suggest you do. Get Silverlight

I also got that failed installation on three Windows installations (64-bit Vista HPE SP2 with IE7 and 64-bit W7 HPE with IE8) as well. After rebooting and trying again, then it is fine. Weird. I

Rough update so far on Win 7 64 bit:

1. Following the update and first restart - computer lost connection with UPS. Second restart reestablished connection...

2. .NET Framework update required a second update

3. Silverlight issue also encountered...

Anyone know if any of the updates dealt with USB support or ports?

Thanks, Don. Got them all but the Silverlight one which I picked up on it's own from MS.

Silverlight failed for me as well. Rather than keep patching v4, I just uninstalled it and downloaded v5.
