I have a Motorola SB6120 which I have used for about a year on the 8/1 service and it was flawless.

Today I called WOW to upgrade to 30/3. 1st the sales person wanted to dispatch a truck to bring me an Arris MODEM. I said NO, I want to keep my MODEM and she said that was not possible. She transferred my call to a WOW tech person.

The tech person told me it was impossible to get the 30/3 service with a customer owned MODEM. Thus ensued a small disagreement and she went away and came back and said well yes, OK, they could do this with the Motorola. I watched the MODEM reboot and I now have 30/3.

Point is the tech people at WOW still want to tell you you cannot get better than 15/1 with your own MODEM.

WOW_Dan you might want to tell the tech staff to not be so into the hard sell of demanding you dump your Motorola Modem. So far I am fine.

I will pass this along to the call center to review. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Like has been pointed out in discussing Ultra TV, its' a way for them to make more money out of existing customers.
