Posted on: February 16, 2012 - by: Blackburn News, Story by Simon Crouch.
The YMCA kicked off the Strong Kids campaign with a bang today as Teksavvy donated $10,000.
The six-week campaign is looking to raise $102,000 and YMCA Vice-Chair Jennifer Wilson says the money is used to ensure people have access to programs.
We dont like to turn anyone away for financial reasons, she says. We help to subsidize memberships for all sorts of things, whether its the camp, the health and wellness centre, or a variety of different projects around the community.
Last years campaign raised $78,000 and provided financial assistance for 1,965 people.
You see there is only one constant. One universal. It is the only real truth. Causality. Action, reaction. Cause and effect.
