Don't recall anything dealing with USB support or ports, nor did I have any USB problems, so sorry, not sure what to tell you about that one.
And yes, the .NET updates were painfully slow to complete. (They usually are).
It may also be worth mentioning that people may see 'mscorsvw.exe' running in task manager after the 'NET updates. It will be "compiling" in the background. After it has done it's thing, it will go away.
And while it does most of the work while the machine is idle, there may be some initial slowdowns in performance, especially on older machines.
Oh, and one more thing. For those of you who run the Malicious Software Removal Tool, and always wonder what it found (if anything), the results can be found in the Windows\Debug\Mrt.log file.
Anyway, thanks again, and see you next month. ;)
--
I had a life once.....now I have a Computer and a Modem.

rcdailey posted : Golly, I saw that same error on two Win 7 Pro 64-bit systems, and checking again showed no updates required. Thanks for the version number. I will check for that. A third system had no error, but I have not checked to see whether Silverlight is actually installed on that one. It may not be. I also see from other posts that I need to look for the 5.x.x version. Well, I see that I have the latest version 5.x of Silverlight on this XP system, but do not yet know what is on the Win 7 Pro 64-bit systems. OK, just checked one system remotely and that Win 7 system has version 4.1.10111.0, so that is probably what they all have, at least the ones that have Silverlight installed, along with the "failed" notice on the update on 2/14/2012.

--
It is easier for a camel to put on a bikini than an old man to thread a needle.
