They were correct.

Comcast was correct. Docsis 3.0 is a better technology than xdsl running over 1914 copper lines. At least HFC is 1980s :P

Yeah exactly. At least cable can be implemented with a TON of bandwidth, more than sufficient for today's home users. AT&T should have invested and one-upped Comcast with FTTH like Verizon did. Now that's actually modern technology...
