DSL may be slowed, but IPTV offers more choices

While Comcast is right in stating that copper is ancient has has much lower speed limit, I think they are wrong in stating that cable has more TV channels than DSL.

An IPTV system has an unlimited number of channels it can carry since it only has to fit a couple of channels per DSL link whereas cable is still mostly in a broadcast architecture (having to firt most channels into the 850mhz or so bandwidth offered by the coax).

Of course, if/when coax goes to a fully IPTV architecture where all of the coax is allocated to data, then it will not only beat the pats off AT&T but also its underwear (and that wont be pretty).
