Does it exist

premise: I have an image i need to rotate in 90 times in one degree increments to make into a gif.

now i know i can rotate 90 times in photoshop or equiv program.
looking for an automated solution. these help.

don;t know of any auto gif sequencer, but

doing the 90 images needs the origingal image to have space around, so can crop it for the intermediate images. not difficult, just tedious.

you may be able to use fewer than 90 steps, depending on speed and size; try just 30.

or, do you have to have gif?
many video editing programs have a rotation option clickable.
but that would give you a video file, like wmv, not a gif.

Have a look for the twist and fade plugin for PS and Fireworks, there are sliders to eliminate the amount of fade, haven't used it for some years, but i think does something similar to what your asking ...

Me, I'd just take the image and load it into Animation Shop and apply the rotate filter. Done.

Now if you need it to pause after each movement like a watch hand, that is a bit tricky but can be done with frame timings.

Post the image and we can make it spin.
