Steps for Static IP

I have ordered and sucessfully setup uverse static ip's.. I'm trying to understand how to configure my web server to use them. As i understand it:
1. plug webserver into the RG
2. Allow it to get an IP (192.168.1.x)
3. go to IP Address allocation
4. Find Device
5. Firewall Enabled
6. address assignment Public (select IP Mapping)
7. WAN IP Mapping Public: Fixed xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (one of my staticIP's)
8. Release and renew webserver ip and allow it to pull the fixed public (static IP)
9. on webserver change adapter to static and add the Network info
10. RG should now say Connected static IP
11. under address assignment should say Static IP- No DHCP

Everything seems to work except step # 10 & 11 never happens. What am I missing?

You need to stop at step 8
The device that will use ip mapping must be a dhcp client
If you want to manually assign network info (public ip) you can do that without using ip mapping

The address assignment drop box allows you to set a private dhcp reservation for that device

If you have a block of ip's and have done the configuration for the block
The address assignment drop box also allows you to select public (select wan ip mapping) and the wan ip mapping drop box will have the block of ip's
