I'm having an absolute blast double healing on my priest (though I prefer my disc spec over my holy spec). Pally healing has its sweet spot, especially in LFR where overall raid dmg is relatively low and most dmg is on the tanks, pallys top the meters. When you start getting massive raidwide dmg, h.priest, r.shaman, r.druid start shining (again, it all depends on the player as to who comes out on top).
--
Immergruen (resto/kitty) on Nathrezim Server (US)
Guild leader for Pride and Ego
"You never truly know someone... until you fight them"

Immer posted : welcome to the forums. For your priest, I'd recommend using quests in Hyjal to earn enough rep to get the head enchant. You'll be dungeon grinding enough for Therazane exalted rep (shoulder enchant). For your prot pally, if you are still leveling him up, then stick to Vashj questing to get your tanking head enchant. Again, dungeon grinding is painful enough for Therazane exalted rep.

Yes, therazane has daily quests... give those a shot. The new HoT dungeons don't have enough trash to give you any substantive rep via tabard, so you will be grinding the older Cata Heroics for rep.
--
Immergruen (resto/kitty) on Nathrezim Server (US)
Guild leader for Pride and Ego
"You never truly know someone... until you fight them"

Angelicfury posted : The only other high level char I have is a BE Prot Pali which quickly reminded me that phasing is still in place. My plan is similar to what you have done. Start out in Vash then go to Mt. H for awhile then venture over (into) Deepholm and finish out there. The firelands daily were fun (not when they first came out) enough as a Prot but i'm looking forward to getting a different experience as a Holy Priest.

Thanks for more helpful info. I guess after 10+ years its no longer time to stay in lurk mode and join the community.

seaquake posted : You may want to do your earlier leveling in Hyjal. You need to do roughly half of the quests there to open up the firelands dailies. There may be some stuff offered there that you are interested in.

I just got to level 85 on my priest (up to level 83 in Holy spec only *gasp*). I did enough in Vash'jir to get me a seahorse, then swam out to the Earthen ring quartermaster and got my tabard.

I then did Hyjal until I killed Nemesis, the big, red turtle. At that point, I went to Deepholm and complete nearly all the quests there (whatever it took to get to the completion of the restoration of the pillar and access to Therazine QM).

On to Uldum (level 84 at this point) and did just enough to get the Qm available here. Once I got that I headed out to Twilight Highlands and finished leveling up there. I've also don a lot of Holy healing in the dungeons which when combined with rested XP, makes a huge difference.

Now that I'm 85, I'm running normal dungeons trying to gear up some 333 blues and build JP. I don't plan on touching any heroic dungeons until I at least get 2 pieces of JP 378 (Tier 12) healing gear. That should greatly help my mana issues.

Keep in mind that there are bracers and boots that you can buy with JP and VP that you can send to your priest once it hits 85. I plan on doing this with my main toon as VP allows, since it is pegged on VP gear at this point.

Angelicfury posted : Hello all. Long time lurker here asking for a little bit of help from the wonderful community. After a long round with my 85 prot pali I realized I should focus on my priest instead. However I'm not sure which direction to go in.
