Re: [Parts Check] 850 watt PSU

I wouldn't mind selling you the AX1200 I have (still sealed) for $200 but you are in the states so shipping would totally kill the deal.

Canada, shipping is at least $30-40 which makes the price on newegg very decent.

sorry for all the questions I have not bought a PSU in 5 years.
The person who I built a system for today already had a corsair ax850 I installed for him a few months ago. I want one but dont have the cash flow for one of those.

The AX series isn't all that great. I have encountered more DoAs than I would like for a flag ship SKU from Corsair but the completely modular feature makes up for any defects the AX series have. If the thing fails, just unplug the cables and swap it out. No need to redo the cable management etc. It's clean and easy to maintain.

As for a choice between the HX1050 and the CoolerMaster. You have to ask yourself the following question:
Is the extra 2 year warranty and more quiet fan at full load worth the extra $60?
