Starcraft 2 is a PvP game and it is not even close as bad as LoL/HoN/Dota you find your fair ammount of BM but again not even close.

Halada, Insanebeaver, and I had some good games last night. I got in a ranked before they got on so I ended up going 3/4. LoL is exactly like gambling. If you lose, you want to keep playing to win. If you win, you want to win more. Blah.

I just keep reading that over and over. I had a 2v2 SC2 game with Tiger which was a lot of fun, pulled a win out of no where.

Nah. I get my one win in and I'm happy and can walk away and do something else.

If I lose however, it gets nasty

That's true but from what I've gathered so far in my time with the beta, is it's actually not as bad as you'd think. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that there's voice chat for better communication and it's region based. I'm pretty much always with Americans, and although some act like complete retards, the vast majority have been helpful/nice and generally forth coming to new players.

Why is it laughable to expect some modicum of deceny/respect from others who are also investing their time? Now, I believe F2P games are going to have more incidents of morons because of the inherent nature of zero investment in the game other than time, whereas games that include an upfront fee and/or a recurring fee deter/curb that behavior more based on the monetary factor.

AKA F2P games attract more kids/douche bags because they are cheap asses.

As I PMd Arch the other day: never again.

It was fun talking with you guys, but by the end of the night, I wanted to put a bullet in my skull. There's a vast ocean in terms of gaps in skill/knowledge required to play at a your level. This late in a game's cycle, I'm not even close to interested in spending the solo time (especially with stories I read here) trying to figure it out.

WoW is the shit - once again. The whole cross-realm RealID raid thing is amazing. Yeah, you can't do the latest raid (Dragon Soul) as a realID full raid, but you can do it in LFR if you want. But going in and doing Firelands with a bunch of realID friends across servers.. awesome! If only you jerks were on the game too.

Skyrim got dead for me fast, even faster than Oblivion. I realized I like some structure in my RPGs. I get paralyzed by having too much to do.

I may pick up ME3 in a few months when it goes on sale. I haven't played either ME1 or 2, so I dunno.

I know I'll be playing D3, especially considering I've already "paid" for it via the 1 year sub commitment to WoW. Sad that you're already jaded against it - playing with other people will make it significantly better, I'm sure.

Just throwing this out there: for a MMO, SWTOR sucks balls.

I can't do the wow thing again. Spending HOURS and HOURS just to be ready to play for a short dedicated time (that we no longer have). We are so far behind, it would take a lot to catch up and isn't worth it.

I heard SWTOR sucked balls. Sorry about the LoL. Our mistake was trying to get everyone in and doing bbr vs bbr. It's better when you're on the same team as the people you play with, so they can help you as opposed to trying to kill you. Tiger as Master Yi trolling with his meditation, then next game me going after you as Gangplank was really unfair.

The only game I'm remotely interested in for the future is like one and a half to 2 years away. It's the next Bioshock. Nothing else has piqued my interest.

They've made it so ridiculously easy to gear up now... leveling from 80 to 85 will be painless since you just cap rested experience as you take it slow.

Then, once you hit 85, spend a bit of gold on a few BOEs if you want or just start farming heroics. They aren't wrath easy, but they're generally pretty quick and with the whole realID thing, it's easy to find people to group with for quick queue times.

Then, once you're in half blues and have 378 epics, you get into LFR and faceroll the bosses. DS is broken into two four-boss segments for LFR and it takes maybe an hour (?) per segment. No set raid times. And if you end up valor capping but want to play your feral tank with your friend's shadow priest.. you can queue for LFR and get JP and will be locked out from loot rolls.

When people say they are gearing WoW up for casuals... there's absolutely no doubt in my mind they are all but done with the hardcore content. There's no money in it. But it's a net plus...

I'm not trying to convince you to play WoW (as I know it won't happen), though that would be awesome. I just know that it's easier than ever to get back in... and to be completely honest, unless you're doing normal/heroic raiding, you are strapped to your computer for a longer period of time playing a single LoL game than you are with any casual WoW content.

Drew, I just could not get back into WoW. I resubbed in January and yea it was fun catchin back up with my old buddies, there is always that pull in WoW to go back to Heroic mode raiding. I tried the LFR and though it was easy, it almost felt too easy? I dunno, maybe its just me. All my in game friends are Heroic raiders and when i log on thats all they talk about, so i just feel left out. Thats probably why i like SWTOR so much is cause i dont get pulled into the heroic mode raiding, which i lack the time for. (and i feel that SWTOR is just as easy as WoW, so its not a challenge thing, just a time thing? heh)

Difference is I could walk way from LoL and not play for weeks/months and come back and be just as far as I am now. I don't have to spend hours/day/weeks doing dailies and quests just to catch up to get close to being able to group with people I want to play with. Yeah you have to learn champs with LoL and get IP for runes, but it's only a fraction of what you have to do for WoW. Spending hours just to get ready for a few hours of raiding in a week is not possible with our lives. There's no end point.

I've never been a top-tier heroic raider like you and other players here... I've done heroic raiding at the T9 (ToC), T10 (ICC), T11 (4.0), T12 (4.2) levels. I'd include T8 (Uld HMs) but I did those during T9 and did get my drake.

Of those, my furthest progression happened in T10 (11/12 ICC25H). I did very light heroic raiding in T11. T12 I did 3/8H before the guild imploded due to raid stacking one 10m and telling the other 10m to f-off.

I miss that level of play, but I'm (currently) content to play with relaxed players and do LFR, 5 mans and the odd FL raid (with realID friends).
