 | Test call before adding funds? I signed up for voip.ms, and installed Ekiga on my computer. Is it possible to do some test calls before adding funds to my account? I tried a toll-free number, but it did not work. |

| You can do "Echo Test" call. Just dial 4443 if I remember correctly. On this call everything you're gonna say will be echoed back to you by passing thru VoIP.ms servers. So you get a real good picture at the quality of the service.

2 edits | reply to esenterre I tried the echo test, and I get "impossible de se connecter au correspondant distant" error. There is no ring, no sound, nothing.
Does that mean something is not configured properly? Both Ekiga and my voip.ms account tell me my device is registered.
EDIT: I installed sjphone, and I was able to do the echo test. So the problem was Ekiga.
