Re: [AR] reallly slow internet Let us know that if this Cisco DPC 3010 works for you so well then there will be no log entries in this new Cisco DPC 3010 coz' the Cox will locks your new cable modem out of your access to reach the certain tools what you need to collect the data out of the cable modem for log report stuff. |

They are giving me a free modem for all the problembs i have had. I have spent several thousands of $$$ with them over the past 6 years They had better do something nice for me after spending that much on services. I am done with Motorola modems their quality has gone downhill over the pas few years. |

| Oh. I see... I don't have a TV subscrible to the same provider as Cox, I have only an internet access though the cable modem.
I bet that my internet bill could be jacked to 70 dollars after that 65 dollars a monthly when i get a second notice letter. |

I can't say whether Motorola's quality has gone downhill or not, since my SB6120 just keeps on working and doing its job. The warranty expires in May; if something happens to it out-of-warranty, I have 2 spare SB6120's (found cheap at a swapmeet and both verified to be good by using them for a month) to fall back on.
Someday (when they become available in the retail stores), I might upgrade to an SB6180 (in order to get 8 downstream channel capability), but, for now, what I have works fine. |

Cox tech came by and re grounded the cable bacuase some one dissconnected the ground wire going to the cable lock box. While he was here I asked him if he had a cisco dpc 3010 he could swap me he said sure. I game him the POS Motorola and he gave me a dpc3010. I am up and running with it. It is so much better than my last one by far. |

Why is this modem so slow on speed test sites? But when you download a actual file you speeds are normal. |
