wan ip vs. wan gateway ip

In my westell 7500 unit I have a wan ip and a wan gateway ip. What is the difference? I am trying to setup a camera to view from the internet and I am not sure which wan ip I need to use.

thanks

Can you post a picture of the page that has this info

You need to tell users what the WAN IP in the router is. They don't need to know what the WAN Default Gateway is.

I have never seen a WAN gateway ip in a router and would like to know what the difference is from the WAN gateway ip and WAN ip. The attached image is from the westell 7500, which is a modem as well as a router, so I am not sure what you mean by "WAN IP in the router is".

The wan ip is the public ip address for the modem
The wan ip gateway is where the modem sends it's traffic

Use the wan ip for this

The term wan usually refers to a ip address used to access another network

Any device you connect to a router uses the routers ip address for the default gateway, the router also has a default gateway even if it is not displayed
