re: Merge of dialup(@att.net) and Uverse(@sbcglobal.net)

I have an old dialup account (@att.net) and am paying $7.95/m for it. I was told I couldn't merge the @att.net with my ADSL ( @sbcglobal.net) account due to ATT's accounting systems.

I just recently upgraded my ADSL to Uverse with the @sbcglobal.net account. I noticed that they are using the @att.net domain for Uverse. Can you merge the @att.net to the Uverse account and avoid paying the extra $7.95/m charge ?

Please advise.

Thanks and have a good day.

Here is an update:

I finally gave up and cancelled my dial-up email account service 3 weeks ago. I fingered that I will lose my @att.net email account.

Today, I received an email from ATT that they will provide the @att.net email service for free.

The end result is that I avoided paying for the $7.95 monthly charge and still have ownership of my @att.net email account. Even though I still couldn't merge my @att.net email with my U-verse account, it is no big deal.

Have a good day.

Steve
