Re: Why bother having an FCC said by 25139889:and they don't. that's the point that these companies are trying to make. Until Congress gives them the power for the Internet the FCC will keep getting sued until the Courts decide to smack the FCC and their leaders for overstepping the guidelines that govern them.
And after all the FCC is the one that ruled that the Internet was an Information service to start off with. Not a communications service- hence- Federal Communications Commission NOT the Federal Communications Information Commission. The problem I have with this is, they are the FCC, they should already have this power, this is why they were formed. And for the allowment of being able to be sued, is ridiculous. |

 | they were orginally formed for communications services that did not include the internet though. and the FCC decided they did NOT want that Internet as information service back when the X Case was going on with wholesale cable modem services, etc. |
