[IE] How to uninstall IE8 and reinstall IE8 on Win 7

I'm need to uninstall and reinstall IE8 on Win 7. I've used the "turn off a windows function" via control panel etc. but it is not uninstalling the software. When I shut down and bring the system back up and then turn the function back on the same problem is appearing. I need a whole new copy of IE 8 and the current one wiped out.

(I've been working with the security clean up forum here and this is what we've come down to and they suggest I post here. see
»Need help with a redirect window that comes as pop up in IE)

You cannot uninstall IE8 in Windows 7 as it is native to the OS.
The best you can do is what you have aleady done = "turning off as a windows function"
Do you have a Win7 64-bit computer?
If so you should have access to an IE 8 64 which might be an option.
Also IE 9 should be available through Windows update.
And of course other browser choices like Firefox & Chrome etc.

The 64 bit IE is impacted as well.

IE9 was impacted as well.

Firefox is ok, but older family member can't deal with any more change, and there must be something on the computer causing this so from security standpoint I guess I'll try to restore an image I had from before.

Thanks.

Did you try "reset all" in IE under tools->internet options->advanced?

No, but if it comes back I'll give it a shot.

I've restored from a full system backup at this point.

Thank you.
