Logging into your modem to check your signal levels does NOT void your warranty... I do it on a daily basis when I am installing the Exede / WildBlue service... Even the installation page when we first provision them is based on the modem page! The modem defaults to 192.168.100.1 so if your network runs on that same block, you will need to either hook directly into the modem or change your IP range in your router.--
