We have a .5% chance of making the play offs according to ESPN!

I have a feeling this will be one of the shortest Cubs season thread ever. Anyone ready to move onto hot stove talk yet?

So who will still be a Cub after the deadline?

I say Garza is gone maybe DeJesus, they might be able to pawn Soriano if they eat 80% or better of his contract. It is possible LeHair might be gone 29yo with Rizzo burning it up in AAA, if Soriano and DeJesus go then LeHair stays to play one of the corner OF spots but he is not a long term guy, too old and league has figured him out already.
Marmol & Soto might go also.

What is needed?
1B and 3B Power = Rizzo & ???
RF Avg and speed = ???
LF HR Power =???
C = Clevenger & Castillo in that order.
RP = 2 quality middlemen and quality closer. Closer won't be found this year, too many injured around league and will demand too much money on market.
SP = It would make sense to keep Garza but they will trade him for a couple good prospects and a already good player. Need two good starters maybe 1 stud.

Need to be gone= Stewart, Baker, Hill, Soto.
Should keep= Johnson good PH and can play all 3 outfield spots. Campana great speed everyday CF ??? if they bat him leadoff yes.

For sure, Soto has to go. Marmol and Soriano won't get moved unless the Cubs eat those contracts.

I gave up on them long ago. It's football season now so...GO BEARS!

A friend of mine gave me Cubs tickets for this Sunday. Haven't been to Wrigley in a few years and free tickets are about the only way to get me through the gate right now.

Nice little ending to what otherwise was a typical, depressing season. Still got a lot of work to do on all sides to get this team even back into post-season material. Not even sure where to start. Pitching? Hitting? Coaching? Managing?
