 | reply to rocca I been thinking about trying cable again, anyone in the east end scarborough area ellesmere rd and markham rd on the 28/1 getting good speeds? post speed test if you have one, thanks. |
 | reply to rocca Since my dsl has been down from monday.... I'm thinking about jumping ship from Velcom. What kind of speeds are people getting in the Ellesmere rd+Markham rd area? on the 28/1 teir? and how bad is the congestion in this area? |
 | reply to rocca Quick question, where can I see my usage? The link on the start website says something about it not currently being integrated into the web tool.. I don't want to go over my cap :P. |

Thank you! |

 | reply to rocca just signed up on friday, I was wondering if start has a over usage cap like the max charged per month for overusage will be $25 or something like that? |
 | At this time I do not believe that there is an upper limit on the overage charge, or at least was not the last time I asked them. |
 | reply to rocca Did anyone from Kitchener switch to Start? I'm getting barely 2mbit on 5mbit DSL from TekSavvy, and I am sick of it. |
 | I'm in Cambridge and I have Start. Absolutely rock solid since I got it few months ago. |
 | reply to hyperi0n I am in the north end of Brantford and been on Start DSL for 2.5 years. Very good... |

You can only check it on that page from your home connection.
If you're in a Rogers area and on Start Cable, the usage tracker doesn't work yet. They aren't charging overages in "Red" areas due to that, but they are watching out for abuse of it.

 | got my dcm476 modem in the mail yesturday, my schedule installation is this friday. Do I need to call start to give them any info on the modem? I connected the modem and the ds blinks green which should be since I dont' have an active cable line, I logged into the modem and provision is at no. When setting this up with a linksys router do I need to clone the mac? and if I am, am I cloning the mac on my computer or the modem. It's been a while since I used cable internet, thanks for the help. |
 | If you purchased or rented the modem from us we will have all the info we need. You will not need to clone the mac, as long as the router is configured for DHCP it will work when the cable service starts working. Looking forward to having you on board. |
