With all due respect, Unix has no place on systems other than large mainframe-type systems like IBM's Power7 platform.

I will never consider OS X Unix, it would be like saying a Chevy Cavalier is the same as a Corvette becaues they are both Chevy.

I had forgotten about Solaris being Unix for some reason. In that case no. I was thinking more along the lines of HP-UX, AIX, and such. I'm still slightly surprised that someone other than the Federal government is running Solaris as the primary OS.

IT is a broad umbrella term, not everyone needs to know all the various OS flavors if they have no reason to support them.
