So, I had a huge problem which eluded techs and made my connection all but useless: »[RESOLVED by LAHSIhelp] [LA] Huge ongoing Cox HSI problem...
PMed one of the official techs listed on the forums, and he fixed the seemingly un-fixable literally a day after getting in contact -- all without sending a tech out.
He even called me immediately afterward to follow up and make sure all was well and that I had no more questions or issues.
Not only that, but he is forwarding my problem to the appropriate department to get me a bill credit.
It's amazing how such a complicated problem (complicated in that it would have taken a LOT more time and headaches to get this issue fixed) can be fixed in the blink of an eye by a forum member... I knew I was making the right decision (or at least hoped) when I posted here as opposed to calling tech support (again).
A big shout-out to you, LAHSIhelp... You made my frickin day.
