Re: [game] Children of Dune

Sounds like we lynch Dez or Meng and Tmod investigates the one we don't.

That should narrow the playing field for tomorrow.

How is Krisnatharok not a possible mafia? Have we learned nothing about Dethy and the use of logic?

He didn't say I wasn't, he said he didn't think I was the right lynch target. See:

said by Kristopher:

I'm filling in Block as the Mason now. Let's see how this looks.

Dezbend - Vanilla - UNSURE OF ALIGNMENT
Meningitis - Vanilla - UNSURE OF ALIGNMENT
Krisnatharok - Survivor - UNSURE OF ALIGNMENT
Archivis - JoAT | Night 1: Block KrisT | Night 2: Switch KrisT and Block - UNSURE OF ALIGNMENT
Blockfire - Most Likely Other Mason - INNOCENT
Jobbie - Da Bomb - Innocent Result - INNOCENT
tmodelt - Cop | Night 1: blocked | Night 2: Jobbie - INNOCENT
Kristopher - Doc | Night 1: Men | Night 2: Brom - INNOCENT

I think Dez is most likely, but it could be KrisN or Men too. Probably all three. Block wasn't on when I called for the Mason to come out, so he is most likely it. I think three of the top 4 are Mafia, or two and a survivor. There was no counter doc claim.

I've already voted myself and said I'm willing to go if it helps town.

However, with Meng and Dez at the top of the list, we should lynch one of them, investigate the other, and then either lynch the other (if guilty), or move on down the list to me and you tomorrow.

He is possible. If there are three mafia, he could easily be one of them. As a matter of fact, he would have to be, cause his Indie role would be a lie. If there is 2 mafia, then his Indie role makes sense, due to the rule of 25%. Understand?

If we follow the rule of 25%, there is three non town roles. Either 3 mafia, or 2 mafia and a survivor. I think he's lying, personally, but I don't think he's the best candidate for today's lynch. Men or Dez is. Leaning towards Dez, but Men will do. You aren't cleared to me, Arch, so your quick push to lynch KrisN is highly suspect.

Be back later, douches.

Was there ever a time where I was not highly suspect? Every 15 posts, you remind everyone about this. Too much dry humping the desk imo.

not that it matters but here is my logic...

when there are 9 players, 3 of which are mafia, then no lynch stinks.

But with 8 players 3 of which are mafia, no lynch makes sense.

3 vs 5 with no lynch and night kill = 3 vs 4 the next day (improved odds of correctly getting a mafia especially with claimed doc/cop combo)

3 vs 5 with lynch = possible end game (town lynch - which it looks like we are heading to + night kill) = 3 vs 3 mafia wins

My OMGUS vote, was a clear it is me or him and I know it isn't me response.

It was the appropriate move for the situation.

I'm an independent role. Nothing you can say can prove or disprove that, and the only person who can do so is the cop. It's not like townies have never voted for each other, right? That undermines your "me or you" mentality.

I don't see this as a clear "me or you," but if you want to make it that, I'm comfortable offing the guy claiming vanilla townie at LoL who OMGUS votes someone else.

You and Meng are at the top of everyone's list. Better start making the case why we should lynch him and investigate you, instead of vice versa.

here is the case...

my role pm tells me I am a vanilla towny.

cut and dry.

If you want WIFOM (and that does seem to be what you are fishing for because there is and can be no proof of my claim short of an outside agency {cop}) then here we go sit back and enjoy:

I am clearly not the mafia. First, I was online and active when the face stabbing happened, I would have off'd the cop. Second, my favorite play is a mafia gambit... I can think up roles on the fly... heck if I were mafia, I would have counter-claimed cop before claiming vanilla. Finally, you can be sure I am not mafia because even with all the claims out there, the mafia are going to win and I never win.

We need to be careful with survivor/indie roles since they can either align with town or mafia. I remember when I was on a game rickrolling people I pushed the last townie for "my personal" win. So I don't believe indies are above townies on the lynch list at the end lynching a townie would count as a no-lynch since town numbers won't go down we are only losing a vote that could go either way.

Oh agreed. Except I wouldn't know to hammer a townie specifically because I don't know who the mafia are.

However, I'm hoping that claiming buys me enough good faith that we work something out where both town and I win.

No Lynch is only a good option if we coordinate night actions. We can't let Arch get away with being able to claim JoAT without some kind of proof. We need to both protect tmod, so we get the investigation. Only problem is, if they have a blocker, then it's a moot point. We could have tmod and Arch investigat, with me protecting tmod, but again, they could block tmod, and Arch's investigation result would be suspect. I'm torn here.
