When you're in an Eastern Motors commercial, you know you've arrived.
The Redskins have no respect whatsoever for high draft picks. Their attitude has become don't need 'em, don't want 'em.
On the one hand, you gotta like that they made a real move to get who could be the next Favre or Peyton Manning.
On the other, the rest of the future is mortgaged yet again.
And now here comes the free agent influx, because there's no reason to be looking to improve much via the draft for the next few years.
Dan Snyder writing checks to free agents is a very sobering thought, given that history so far.
Griffin (assuming he's the pick) has to be Manning, Favre, or Jurgensen. Being Mark Sanchez (or, God forbid, Heath Shuler) isn't going to cut it at this price. |
