I am upset at comstnews maker for cutting in on the programing. that is a waste of time. If I wanted to see what you put on I would opt for a comedy station.

Many threads on this. Comcast has agreements with HLN to air the programming. It mainly dates to back when HLN was Headline News and didn't have regular programming. It's probably related to Comcast fulfilling various broadcast requirements for local programming.

HLN has agreements with local cable providers which allow them to insert local news editions into their channel:
