[HDTV] 46" Samsung has blown out picture

Looks like an overexposed photo....just happened today when I turned it on. Looks great on other sources (wii and DVD through Bose) but on HDMI through FiOS it has a reddish blown out look. I have reset STB with no luck. Any suggestions? It does it on all channels of FiOS.

Re: [HDTV] 46" Samsung has blown out picture

Since you mentioned HDMI, I must assume that's between the FIOS box and the TV. Presumably there's only one HDMI port on the FIOS box. So if you move the cable to a different HDMI port on the TV, does the problem follow it? Or do you have one of the low end Samsungs with only a single HDMI port?

Unplug and replug the HDMI cable at both ends. Try a different HDMI cable. Connect a different source to the TV using that HDMI input. Connect the STB to a different TV.

Somewhere in those steps you should find the problem.
