I've had nothing but issues with the Westell they provide, once I get more than a handful of devices connected the router stroke out and has to be rebooted. Considering getting something a bit more robust like a Cisco 887V to handle my network - has anyone tried using something other than CB provided equipment or know if there's some other layer of authentication handled by the Westell?
The FTTN service seems to come with the ZTE product at the moment. The ZTE VDSL router can be dropped into bridge mode so that you can use an existing router, but you will need a router with multicast proxy capabilities.
If you could do that for me Celtic I'd be grateful.
Thanks so much. I'm still having a trouble with my speeds and latency, but once that is fixed I'd love to just deal with my router only. I don't like the idea of having a router/modem combination device.
