[Snow] Upgrading from 10.4 to 10.6

I have someone that has a first gen Intel MacBook, still on OS X 10.4 Tiger. Is it possible to upgrade to 10.6 directly, or must you first upgrade to 10.5?

The person doesnt want to do a clean install, upgrading the OS is preferred.

I've never done a 10.4 to 10.6 upgrade.

I think you can do it. If you wanted to upgrade to 10.7 you need to upgrade to 10.6 because of the app store.

You cannot do a direct upgrade. Either go to 10.5 first or do a clean install. I would strongly advise a clean install. Seen too many problems when going to 10.6 from 10.4.

The person doesnt want and doesnt have most of the software anymore... lets just say most were not obtain legally anyway.

I'll just do 10.5, then 10.6 on it and image it before hand.
