| Router processor? Which is the better processor and why? The Broadcom BCM4718 @ 480 MHz or the Atheros AR7161 rev 2 680 MHz?
Are they the best?
Is is better to use the "stock firmware" or DD-WRT?
I would like a Dual Band N router, Gigabit WAN and LAN with DD-WRT support if necessary
I will use for streaming HD video's, while emailing and face booking VPN use.
Are buffalo's routers good? Is it better to go with a "Name Brand" like Cisco/Linksys?
I'm a techie and like to read graphs.
I have a 12/1 connection and need to route packets FAST so i'm thinking clock speed or is this like the days of Apple vs Intel before Apple went with Intel. Who truly has the better hardware? |

Honestly, anything off the shelf these days could do 12/1 without breaking a sweat.
It's the FEATURES that you should be after -- ie. simultaneous dual-band, DD-WRT
support, etc.
