Re: Suddenlink IS Bandwidth Capping

The only viable alternative in my area (Greenville, NC) is Centurylink. Suddenlink hasn't instituted the cap here yet, but when they do, I'm off to join the DSL ranks again... It's a shame really, I'm paying suddenlink around $130 a month for internet and TV. If they cap me, they'll lose me for both services..

Are you sure Century link doesn't cap as well?

that's an excellent question actually.. I haven't seen anything on their site stating that they cap, but that doesn't mean I haven't missed the fine print. maybe the only way to fight this sort of thing is if every open wifi connection in all the neighborhoods begin hitting cap. Or perhaps a few lawyers in the area need to exceed a few terabytes and receive charges in the 1000's of dollars...
