I know you're gouging me, so don't treat me like I'm an idiot and lie to me. When they interview the station owners ( I know they don't always set the prices) I always hear the excuse that prices come down so slowly, because they have to sell off the gas they paid more for before they can lower the price. Bullshit. The average busy station refills twice a week. It's not like the gas they paid 0.30 more for is sitting in their tanks for three weeks or a month.

The average busy station might fill twice a day. They are also the ones with the more accurate prices. When I was a kid our neighbor owned a few gas stations and they also had their own bulk plant. I would go with them on fills and we sometimes would dump 5-6k gallons twice a day at a few stations and these weren't even the most busiest in the area. It wasn't uncommon to see the Shitgo station at the intersection of the interstate hwy with three fills a day from full size tankers. -- In need of a Vegas vacation.
