The Gimp can be hard to learn, the interface is not the intuitive.

You can try Picassa from Google, it is free and not bad for making quick edits and hase an auto adjust if you want to be lazy.

Serif has a free version of their software »www.serif.com/free-photo-editing-software/

Paint.Net is popular too.

There is a list here: »graphicssoft.about.com/od/pixelb···oedw.htm

windows' various versions should do most of what you want for sorting, arranging, burning, etc.

here's pixlr, online photo editing:

»pixlr.com/

in windows you can use "windows explorer" to view, preview, sort, add/move/copy/delete etc, and burn.

I guess what my main goal is
to copy...burn the pictures or photos
I have taken with my Cannon digital
and save them to CD so when I take them to Costco
for printing I just do my thing!
I am having a terrible time locating this option
in BurnAware Home! Have never used this option before
Burned alot of music just not photo's

Unless you are going to keep the photos archived on CDs/DVDs you would be better to copy them to a USB memory stick.

If you are going to keep them as backup, and that is not a bad idea, you just burn a data CD/DVD. There is nothing special about it, they are just files. Windows has this built in, but there are better programs.

I do not think you will find all of that in one program.

photoshop elements is pretty inexpensive compared to the full verion or the suite. Of course I would start out free and if you wanted more power you could always spend more later. I think you can take your memory card out of the camera as well and select photos to be printed without saving them onto a CD, I know at walgreens you can at least.

two other alternatives are to just take the camera's card out at the print place, or connect the camera to the kiosk with a usb cable. you should be able to dump the camera contents to thier machines, for you to print or them to print, while you shop, and thus you get the cheaper half-price one-hour deal, instead of the more expensive immediate prints, which are usually dye-subs, from the kiosk itself.

again, windows explorer should be able to copy the camera contents to a usb or a cd, just by dragging and dropping etc.
