Way too many commercials on Fox today. Sadly, they've got the next three races. Yes, they should've raced for the points today as Hamilton had the pace.
I tried watching fox for the f1 coverage and gave up when they cut to commercial break on the 2nd lap?
I went to www.vipbox.tv and enjoyed BBC--wait sky f1 :P |

 Final results |
Really good race overall. Can't believe Grosjean and Perez both got podiums.
Lets see - that is 3/5 Canada races Hamilton has won.... Unbelievable.... -- Brian

bjf123We Want... A ShrubberyPremium join:2000-02-11 Hamilton, OH | reply to CylonRed Anyone catch Bernie's comment about a London GP? He claims it will be better for London than the Olympics. Seriously, Bernie? Granted, it would be for multiple years instead on just once, but still....
The article also says that Bernie might be prepared to pay a 35 million pound sanctioning fee himself. Isn't that effectively taking money from his right pocket and putting it in his left pocket

Edit: I can't find the name of a very interesting biography I read about Bernie which focused on his business dealings more than F1. It was written by a British journalist and published in either the late 90s or early 2000s. I'd recommend it if I knew what it was called.
Edit2: I think this is it. It's well worth reading. -- Overflow error in /dev/null |

CylonRedPremium,MVM join:2000-07-06 Bloom County | reply to CylonRed Busy weekend last week and I forgot to post qual and the finish order. The race was surprisingly good - shockingly so. With Grosjean in contention till the alternator failed to Vettel stopping on course to Alonso's shocking lead and win. Still don't see my Kamui did not get a penalty for both incidents he was involved in. At a minimum he should have gotten q drive thru for taking out Massa.
Not sure I agree with Maldonado's penalty - they both were at fault - I would have called it a push between them. -- Brian

I hope it is a very bright and very dry race followed by several very bright and dry weeks; we don't need or want any more bloody rain.
British GP: 30,000 fans asked to avoid Silverstone
Up to 30,000 ticket holders are being asked to stay away from Saturday's British Grand Prix qualifying sessions due to muddy conditions at the site.

CylonRedPremium,MVM join:2000-07-06 Bloom County | Actually the UK is still - officially - in a drought according to David Hobbs after several years of little rain.
No - I don't want it as wet as it was yesterday - but I still like wet races.
I don't believe the testing she was doing is limited. -- Brian

The joke that has been doing the rounds for the past few months is that this is the wettest drought on record. A hose pipe ban was introduced in the first week of April. The rain started a week later and hasn't stopped. I'd be very surprised if there is anywhere in the UK that is still in a drought. Edit: There are currently 52 flood warnings and 155 flood alerts across the UK.
IMO, quali ought to have abandoned completely as the grid as it stood could have made for a very interesting race. -- Overflow error in /dev/null |

It will be interesting to find out the full facts. At the moment it seems like she collided head first with the loading ramp but we don't know whether it's driver error or Marussia's fault. John Booth, the team boss, isn't saying anything for the time being.

I like wet races as well, just so long as they don't have to stop the race. |
