| Experiences? I am thinking about going with these guys. They have a better deal then Megapath and Speakeasy... And most of the reviews seem to be favorable.
What I find interesting is they use a different company then Covad. I wonder how stable this other company is.. I know Covad is in financial trouble, but Covad seems to be the big one that most providers use.
If anyone is reading, can you tell me how Linkline's SDSL service is, and what sort of ping times you are getting on their service?
If you have had a bad experience i would definately like to hear it too. |

Small in comparison to Covad, New Edge has developed a survival strategy by diversifying into other products besides DSL, including nationwide frame relay and ATM. On the prowl for acquisitions, New Edge recently got a boost when their bid for customers of bankrupt @work division of @home (primarily T1 & T3 clients) and paid a mere fraction of the value ($1 mill) for the network and customers.
New Edge has generally deployed in "tier 2/tier 3" rural and suburban markets where Covad (and Northpoint/Rhythms) avoided, and so is not really a competitor of Covad. In most cases, you will find New Edge in central offices where Covad is not available. -- I feel like I'm diagonally parked in a parallel universe. |
