Slight uptick in speeds

So for the last two nights I have been been getting a better then normal readings before I was getting about 24/1.8 on my 25/2.

Not complaining just wondering if anyone else noticed.

I think I've seen someone else post numbers like that once. I thought it was a fluke. I'm still at 24.x and 1.9. I'm sure I have never hit 2 on upload. I wish they could bump us to 4 or 5 Mb upload. Download is fast enough (for now).

I have noticed the same thing, especially on the upload side.

My download speeds are great, but I'll go on the record as saying the upload speeds of 2Mbps is starting to get really annoying. Try uploading anything (pictures to flickr, videos to youtube, backups to dropbox/mozy/etc, music to itunes match) and you're going to be waiting a looooooooong time.

I'd never turn down more DL speed if it was on offer, but at this point, they should really consider increasing the upload even if it meant a smaller increase in download.

Here in Maryland an equipment upgrade was just completed yesterday. So far so good! I noticed a speed increase as well:

I don't do a lot of uploads but you are right 5 up would be more the standard now adays.

On the other had if I had a big file to up load I would bring it to work where I get 100 up and down.

I'm seeing this too. I had to reboot the modem to see the increase. Otherwise I was stuck at 24.x and 1.9x.

Rock Solid since this past Wednesday! It's the first time the Motorola SB6120 has had 4 bonded channels.

@icedcorn: If you haven't rebooted your cable modem in a while, you may want to give that a try. I didn't get the increase until I rebooted.

Not sure of the details, but got wind of some equipment upgrades that were done recently in our area, anyone's modem lose sync the other night around 12:05am?

Just did a speed test this morning (not too bad, little more then I'm used too)

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. Uploading as much as I can by using my laptop at work where we get similar synchronous speeds to you. It doesn't help me when it comes to services like google music/itunes match and mozy system backups, which have to be run from my PC at home and on a regular/frequent basis.
