2701HG-B issues with remote play on vita

Ive been reading and lurking the posts, and have my own issue. The playstation Vita has an remote play feature that I should be able to use through the internet. Ive assigned an static ip to my ps3 as 192.168.1.97 after connection test, everything checks out including NAT type 2 but when i go back to the router i cant find my ps3. The ps3 works fine and connects to the net with ease but the 2701HG-B just doesnt see it

When you say it doesn't see it, where are you looking?

The default DHCP range is 192.168.1.64 - 192.168.1.253 and that means the static IP range is from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.63.

If you haven't changed the defaults then you've configured a static in the dynamic range. I've done this before and things work okay, but devices don't show up properly. I suggest you change the static to within range and try again.

If you are not sure where to find this, look here: »192.168.1.254/xslt?PAGE=C06&THIS···PAGE=C06

For non-DHCP devices (aka static IPs withing the proper range) it can take the 2wire up to 24 hours before it recognizes them. This is the experience that I've had. I've also seen times where it only takes a few minutes. I don't understand this, but I can tell you it happens. Give it some time and look tomorrow.

Also, be sure you don't have any other static IPs >63.

the ps3 is the only one with a static ip, just checked now and its still not there but I still have full net access from the ps3!?!

select the window you want to post and hit ALT - Print Screen; open something like MSWord and Paste (cntl V). Save the word file. Attache file to your post with the button at bottom "preview/attach". I'm sure there are other ways, but this usually works for me.

EDIT after the paste into word, you can right click the image and save a picture. Pick .jpg format. That has worked for me in the past. Then proceed with the upload.
