Feel free to explore the feature before the testday, as well. And remember, no previous testing experience is required; moderators will be available to provide guidelines and answer your question during the event.

Thank you in advance for your help and hope to see you there!...Ioana Chiorean

Was just in Add-Ons checking to see if I had the latest version, when it updated itself!

Thanks GF. Time is drawing near where pdf.js really will be 'native'.
It's due for release with Firefox 18 on Jan 6, 2013.

So, is this a separate thing from the built-in PDF viewing of FF18 that requires going into about:config, filter on pdfjs and changing values there?

Being there's no extension listing for this, an update to FF itself would need to be made.

Re: Firefox's native PDF Viewer Updated

Is this PDF browser extension the same thing that's included with FF19 now as the native PDF browser? Just curious.

Yes; its now released with Firefox 19.
If the extension is installed, it should be automatically disabled.

Check your pdf viewer default choice in Options > Applications.

The extension was not automatically disabled. I had to disable it and restart Firefox to get it to take. If I set Action to Always Ask, when asked the option to Preview in Firefox is not available. The only works if I set Action to Preview in Firefox.

Could it be because I am using Linux? I shouldn't but....

Nice implementation on the part of Mozilla crew. Stayed right out of the way of my established Sumatra rendering. I've nothing bad to say about Sumatra: light, fast, simple. Glad that Mozilla saw fit to not intrude.
