How accurate is AT&T Usage Meter - Is it the Dates They Use?

I am trying to keep track of my AT&T DSL Usage to not go over the 150 GB.

However, I am concerned by a line that says the usage period may not line up with the billing period.

However, do they use the usage period to determine the overage?

My bills normally say the service goes through the 25th, but the usage meter goes to the 23rd. Therefore, would it be safe to assume my meter starts over on the 23rd or the 25th?

Thanks!

When I view "usaage summary", it says, as of {current date} you have {X} days left in your bill cycle. You should see something similar and perhaps that will answer your question.
