cisco 435hdc vs 7216 regarding 2TB recognition
first, over the years I inevitably ended up at this site learning loads from a helpful bunch. thanks.
this is my first post and hopefully not too noob-ish for the crowd.
I recently moved staying with fios and what I hoped for, a transparent move, has been a nightmare. the most irritating aspect is that my 7216 was taken from by clinging hands. I now have the cisco dvr and not happy.
after years with the motorola I think the cisco sluggish but tolerable, what is most trying and the reason I ask the experts: it is clear to me the cisco is not recognizing my 2TB drive as such and probably formatted as 1TB or less.
the specific questions:
1. is there a way to see what the dvr recognizes, how many GB?
2. is the format configurable, by user?
I asked fios support and they told me to contact billing for a swap or take it to store and maybe I get a 7216 or newer motorola.
what do you think? is this a known problem with the 435hdc or do I have a bad dvr?
UPDATE: I mistakenly created this post in fiber optic. I guess the moderators cannot or will move a misplaced post. so, I recreate in what I hope is more appropriate area.
