Re: Grimm renewed for second season said by DarkLogix:I think he's a member of one of the ruling monster families, notice how they actually fear him not just respect him, if he was human they wouldn't fear him.
But I also think he's learned enough to not be unmasked easily by a grimm. In one of the earlier eps, they said the Grimms made a deal and agreed to work for the ruling families. Don't think that would have happened if the rulers were monsters. Also, the monsters have Reapers that they send after Grimms, which they wouldn't need to do if monsters controlled the Grimms. -- Concentrated power has always been the enemy of liberty - Ronald Reagan |

The captian had before been working with the reapers, but the families aren't happy that he's not killing the grimm yet because that grimm isn't sticking to the status quo.
Also I think its SOME grimms work for that one faction but not all. |

 | reply to DarkLogix Do you think Nick was able to go into a serious bad ass, ass kicking mode like that because he tapped into his inner Grimm, or was that do to the training he received at the Police Academy?
Because to me it looked like he was fighting normally and getting his ass handed to him, and then all of a sudden, a change overcame him, and you could visibly see his demeanor, and his fighting style went onto a whole other level. -- "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use." - Galileo |

| I agree about the inner Grimm thing -- or suddenly he was just really motivated to find out what the heck happened to his parents from the one guy who would know.
He's got a ways to go yet though -- considering that his mom gave him the beat down |

 | She has been it it far longer than he has you know. |

| reply to darcilicious Buffy had to evolve into a bad ass, so I'd think Nick would have too as well.
Now if they jumped right into Nick's grimm career 1, 5, 10 years down the road, I'm sure he would be a total bad ass. But now he is just learning the ropes all by himself. So he has to figure things out as he goes along. Sure he has a "trusty" side kick, but Monroe only has the monster aspect of the grimm, not the "how do grimm's fight" aspect. -- Is a person a failure for doing nothing? Connections. Knowledge of other languages. Knowledge of monsters that the books don't have. |
