Issues with Northstate DNS Server

Is anyone else having issues with web pages loading? When using Northstate's default DNS server, I web pages often just hang. To fix I must reload the web page. When running a ping test to www.google.com, In a 50 trial test, it constantly times out at least 8 times. I switched my router to use Google's Free DNS 8.8.8.8 and the issue still seems to exist, but at a lower level.

from day 1 I was unsatisfied with Northstates DNS. I've been using 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as primary and secondary ever since, and have not had the same slow loads/freezes.

Thanks for the link. I am curious to see how it rates Northstate's DNS.

A ping only does an initial DNS lookup, it doesn't perform a DNS lookup for each ping, so switching DNS servers wouldn't help ping timeouts.

You have a service problem. Call NorthState.
