Re: [Parts Check] MS-7309 K9N6PGM2-V2 looking for a processor up

If I decide to go with just a dual core would the link I have above be on the right track?

I was looking at this one...

Dual core...

Athlon 64 X2 5600+ (F3) 2800 MHz 2 × 1024 KB 1000 MHz 14x 1.30/1.35 V 89 W Socket AM2 December 12, 2006 ADA5600IAA6CZ

Here was an energy efficient one... (dual core)

Athlon 64 X2 5200+ (F3) 2600 MHz 2 × 1024 KB 1000 MHz 13x 1.20/1.25 V 65 W Socket AM2 February 20, 2007 ADO5200IAA6CZ

Though will keep yours in mind though.

I kinda think at the time of board purchase I bought a pretty good board.

Windsor cores aren't on the supported list for your board but you can probably get by with it. You might have to fuss a bit with it or the system may not want to recognize the chip properly/timings might be funky. I'm assuming you are getting a very low price.
