Are you expressing two different ideas there? Getting inactives to participate does not help town. It helps weed out the lay-lowers. |

Sorry... it should have read said by Krisnatharok:easiest way for mafia to win is for town to not care and not force inactives to participate. Although you're right, lynching inactives is another valid route. |

Well then... tomorrow is LoL unless we get a mafia today.
I'm keeping my vote on Arch right now, since I think he's trying to feign flippancy a little too hard, but I'm also worried about Modem. He's been lurking a lot in this game so far.
I don't really see what everyone else did in Block before they all jumped on the 47 lynch train. |

I disagree on Block.
He had 2 unprompted votes early on on. That seemed scummy to me like an attempt to get a train rolling on someone. One of the votes was on Jobbie, who is no longer with us now too. Of course this assumption is based on very limited game-play experience so I could also be all wet here too.
There was also a post or 2 between 47 and Block where one was defending the other which put them in to my top 2.
I am going to re-read the posts to see if anyone else jumps out at me but in lieu of something new, Block still stands out as my #1 option for now. |

Well, I know that now...LOL
I didn't know we were late in the game. I guess there is a lot I don't know yet. |

It's not to me. usually. Especially in context of a fuller post. If it's a driveby "rereading" with nothing else, I can see it as suspicious. He presented a reasoned argument. I don't necessarily agree with his conclusions, but his re-read statement reads to me like, "Here's my argument, but it's not written in stone." |

Yet another drew was mysteriously killed. Something about a level 99 spell of eroticism strangling him to death after miserably failing at making drew any prettier. |

Everyone wants to kill Block, no one wants to look anywhere else. Fine, we can throw this game.
FOS on Arch both days though.

Town got tired of going nowhere, and then just lynched Blockgorilla for the hell of it.
Everyone rejoiced when a gun fell out from his dead body....
But then everyone got quiet when a police badge followed the gun.Blockgorilla was the cop. NIGHT |

Well shit. There goes my top suspect.
Since we haven't gotten a mafia yet, today is lynch or lose. I'm not voting until everyone checks in as a single vote for a townie will mean a mafia pile-on, but I am looking at Modem right now for lurking through the whole game. |

I'm looking at just the night kill in a vacuum right now. Shooting archivis is always odd, because he's so erratic it's sometiems easy to push attention his way. A kill of Archivis typically means one of a few things.
1. You're worried he's going to out you. 2. redirect role. 3. Naive and doesn't know archivis is a bad night kill.
You do have a decent point about modem, though. I'm looking at dunga right now. |

I would be careful about speculation of why arch was killed. Since this is a newbie game it could have been done to make it look like a newbie did it.
And you know there isn't a redirect role in an F11. |

Of course I do. I almost [striked] it to show it, but got too lazy.
I don't really care about it looking like a newbie did, since I suspect it may have been a newbie. I'm not fosing or voting, I'm just leaving it for consideration. |

I will try and be more detailed with my reasoning so KrisN does not come after me. It seems a noob mistake can put you right in the line of fire. So far in the game, Meng has posted 3 times. 2 of them coming because I voted for him and he seemed to feel compelled to respond then. This inactivity is made more suspicious based on his participation in some other threads as recent as a few minutes ago. This looks like laying low and watching us lynch one another. Secondarily, Modem has posted 7 times, with 2 coming recently after he was voted for. Sense a pattern here...? I have seen a lot of this during the game, which adds to my suspicion. I removed other misc names from the quote because those seem to vary but these 2 are consistently absent from the voting and from the game in general. Players not voting: DrModem, Meningitis Being my first game, I have no ability to read in to anyone's actions based on past experience so maybe this is good (or maybe bad). I just see these 2 as sitting back and not participating despite them being on the interwebs doing other stuff. I'd like to hear more from the experienced players before voting since it seems we're on the precipice of losing. Not saying I'll go with the crowd but I'd like to see what others think too. |

I don't know if it's because you're a newb or mafia, but a big, long, drawn-out explanation at LoL sounds scummy. |
|
Dunga BeePut A Little Butter On It join:2004-07-26 USA |
Sheesh. I can't win.
When I offer a suspect with a gut feel and then say I'll re-read to confirm and provide backup info or find someone new, I am in trouble.
When I reason it out as best I can, I am in trouble.
What's the best way to poke around and explain your thoughts? Maybe keep them to yourself? |

So apparently you're not on to anything? I can practically count your posts in this game on one hand.
vote modem
The lack of an immediate mafia pile-on will confirm my suspicion. |
