[MLB] MLB At Bat 2012Anyone use this?
The MLB website is confusing. I only really want it on my iPad. So for gameday audio and video it's $130?
The $15 in app purchase is just for radio?
Right? |

It really sucks that they took away radio from the app now you have to pay for it...

Hasn't the radio portion always cost money? That's as far as I could remember. |

The radio was free, but you had to pay for the app. Now the app is free but you have to pay for the radio. This is because the app is free for premium users, which is a terrific move. I use the app to watch games at work on my iPhone. Works fantastic. |

Right? Yes. I just have the MLB app for the Gameday info and for radio. I didn't pop for the video subscription. |

I guess i'll have to use my slingbox now, even if i just want to listen to audio.
At least all Blue Jays games are televised here. |

At least all Blue Jays games are televised here. Yep. Just a damn shame that you cant steal the audio feed anymore. |

I don't owe MLB anymore than I already pay for my Rogers CableTV, which in turn owns the Blue Jays.
In fact, Rogers already streams Blue Jays games FREE to their own subscribers. Just not to mobile devices.
So why should I have to pay MLB to hear a free public radio broadcast of the station here at home? |

In fact, you don't even need to subscribe to cable tv. just any of their other products like wireless or home phone. » www.rogersondemand.com/ |

The $15 iPad MLB at Bat app includes home and away radio broadcasts and video highlights. I see where they claim the app can be purchased monthly for $2.99.
The MLB.TV subscription includes the MLB at Bat app for free on multiple devices, including both iOS and Android phones and tablets.
The MLB.TV subscription can also be purchased monthly rather than annually.
The iPad app is awesome, and the MLB.TV subscription works on my computers, PS3, Xbox 360, Roku, and my tablets. The only restrictions I have encountered is that I can only stream from 2 separate IP addresses simultaneously. Every device coming from my home is seen as a single stream as my router is the only IP seen outside my home network. So, 3 people at home can all watch a different game, while I can watch a game on my iPad or phone at the same time when I am out and about.
It is an excellent value, in my opinion. |
