Re: Any places rent a car to 18 year olds?

Who is handling the rental? You (getting reimbursed) or the dealer when you bring it in and they set everything up?

If you have to set everything up, find a coupon for any of the several rental companies in your area that allows 18+ rentals. Universities usually have rate coupons for there students, faculty and staff that allow 18+ rentals.

If the dealer is setting it up (which is usually the case I think)...have your son bring the car in and pick up the rental. Maybe you can wait outside. The dealer no doubt has a bulk rental plan set up with the rental car company. Think of it this way, do you think no one under 21 buys cars from the dealer and needs service under the service plan? They have this covered.

EDIT-- Also, what about during a car accident and the insurance company provides rentals, do you think premium paying customers under 21 are out of luck?
