Re: WARNING: WIND Mobile said by BliZZardX:Read up a little, they collect your e-mail address when you sign up. When your number gets activated, they send your PIN (automatically generated) to the e-mail you provided as well as inside a text message. OP obviously never read them.
What the hell are you talking about? I did read the PIN, both in my e-mail and text message, and guess what? That bloody pin was not recognized by a WIND csr on the other end of the phone so he made me choose my own PIN number, I chose the same 4-digit PIN number of my debit card, forward 24 hours later and WIND was telling me that this was also wrong, both were wrong, the one they texted me and the one they made me create. How do you explain that? |

How do you explain that? Easy to explain - their broken customer care system was probably showing the OTHER guy's PIN and favourite colour, so of course you got it wrong. You're the other guy, remember? Obviously it's your fault since you can't read the deadbeat's mind and figure out what his PIN and favourite colour is. -- MNSi Internet - »www.mnsi.net |

How do you explain that? Well thanks for clarifying this 3 days after your original post. I thought they wouldn't help because "you never gave them your password" that was infact texted to you and the CSR was not competent, not because one account detail was different - that should not make a difference if everything else matches up.
There is still obviously something messed up with their system if it's automatically commingling details between two unique account numbers unrelated in any way. The normal policy before merging accounts is to contact both account owners - that didn't happen.
Anyway, copy/paste your story to the wind mobile forums @ »community.windmobile.ca/windmobile and howardforums. I tried googling this issue and the internet says you are the only person with this issue ever. It has a better chance of getting fixed if it got visibility on a forum Wind people and other "industry insiders" read. |

Though you're right that it is not smart for the exact reason you pointed out. commenting on "breaking their TOS" is rather funny. Thousands of us break it daily. We have several accounts in this household, one of my own for saving for my own toys etc, joint, credit cards, as does my wife.
Lost count how many times myself or my wife used eachothers debit cards to deposit, withdraw funds. Heck my mother 15 years ago had me use her card to pay her bills when she was sick (cancer).
We all break the pathetic TOS. They are merely guidelines. Only time they would come in to play is if you said "Joe stole my money" and when asked if you handed Joe your pinn they refer to it.
That said -
Wind Mobile, my wife recently setup an old android we had with them, simple as pie, i was asked a security question and it went just fine. I dislike that they outsource at night time/weekends. They service is still crappy on the cellphones everywhere.
Though we have been told for the last 2 years "Oh yeah as we expand it'll get better". ........still waiting...
As was said in an earlier post. Wind has A LOT of potential, but they really screw it up a lot. |

I was told 2 years ago and every 6 months since "Upgrades, upgrades, upgrades"
Nevertheless my comment isn't a complaint, out of the rest, i prefer Wind. They are the reason doors opened in the cellphone market |
