Ok, it wanted to print one contact per page so I saved it as a .pdf on the desktop instead of printing over 300 pages.
And how do I stop a print job?

Just pull the plug on the printer at this point, to save paper and ink, and figure it out later. It depends on if there's any printer software installed. |

Make sure you're in the Finder first. Finder is like Windows Explorer.
To make sure you're in Finder: Left-click on an empty part of the desktop, then press Command-N. The command key is usually located where the Windows key is on a PC keyboard.
Is there a "Home" folder on the sidebar? |

There's no user name in the sidebar and no Home in the sidebar.

In Finder (Window) top menubar>Preferences, will let you choose what to always see in Finder left sidebar.... |

Ok, got the documents, how do I burn them to this external drive? In windows you can peck around and send a bunch of different files to the burner and that's what I'd like to do here.

kudos:6 | Insert a blank CD/DVD, a message will pop up asking where you want to use it. Tell it to use Finder. Then you'll be able to drag/drop documents onto the disc as if it were just another folder. When you're done, open the disc's window and then press the burn button.
