Re: [Bill] Random "non-recurring charges" of $255.36 osaid by Nightfall:I don't mean to sound like a doubting asshat, but it certainly would be nice to see proof of this on an online billing statement. I have never seen anything like this before, and it would be nice to see what it looks like on the bill. Here you go. I've removed my name and account number...

What you might want to consider is downloading the actual bill in pdf format and see what that says. That happened to me back in November. The bill summary had me listed at $395 but the actual bill was $180 and change due to many changes made when I tried out the triple play then changed back to my original plan. I called in and they insisted I owed only $180 and that's what I was charged. The non-recurring charge dropped off the bill summary the next month. In other words the account and bill tab at customer central isn't always on the same page as the actual bill. |

Re: [Bill] Random "non-recurring charges" of $255.36 o How old are your children? Looks like its going to be Pay per view. Comcast is usually pretty good of removing it once if its because of children. Than you have the people that have it removed so easy they try to do it again. But PPv is something any CSR can see, so only comcast can tell you. Call regular hours and try that route. |

Both kids are in college out of state. There have been no PPV charges. That has been confirmed by the Comcast CSRs I spoke with at various times about this charge. None of them could determine what the charge was for. This is just a single line item charge with no explanation that was in unbilled activity for 2 months and is now listed as a non-recurring charge, increasing this month's bill to over $510. |

You are right, this is a load of crap. I would be on the phone with Comcast to let them know about this. I have never seen anything like this before, and I wouldn't put up with it. |

Can you post a copy of that charge on the actual pdf. ? Did you by any chance get a letter from Wells Fargo about a billing mix up by them that caused issues for Comcast customers? » articles.sun-sentinel.co ··· -billing |

If anyone is interested in this news item, there is currently another thread in the Comcast Cable TV forum discussing it: » [Bill] Comcast billing issue on the Consumerist siteI don't think the OP's problem may be like that case, but like plencnerb said, I'd like to see what's listed about that summary page item in the detail section of the bill. |

Non-recurring charges can also include Directory Assistance, 900 calls or International Calls. And having set up Comcast accounts, there could be a mix up with the returned modem, modem rental fees, duplicate install charges, and so on. I suggest going to a local office if all possible, as airwavz suggested. Calling a local number does not guarantee you will get the local office.
Even if the charges are incorrect, credit in that amount is not as simple as just removing it due to operator ID restrictions and system requirements. |

Maybe this could be for that modem that was returned and yet they turn around and billed for it anyway. |
